Bullington has just released his third CD Satisfaction Garage, with Rodney Crowell returning to produce two tracks, and guest instrumentalists including Will Kimbrough, Fats Kaplin, George Bradfute, Kenny Malone, David Jacques and Mike Dysinger. Vocals were added by Ben Bullington, Rodney Crowell and Joanne Gardner.
This collection takes you deeper into Ben's past with songs from his time as a doctor on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation "Cheyenne Range" to observations on a returning veteran "Kanesville Down to Pray." His good natured humor comes through in "Miss June" and "Yankee Girl" and the evocative "You Were There" and "The Engineer's Dark Lover" are showpieces on the CD. The poignant lyrics of "Two Headlights" and "Lester Mays, the Way He Wanted To" will touch every person who has dealt with illness or loss of a close friend or family member. "Last Night's Been Gotten Through" and "Satisfaction Garage" were produced by Grammy winner Crowell and bring a new fullness to Ben's songs. Finally, "Would you Walk with Me Tonight?" delivers the romantic track that listeners have come to expect from Ben.Fans of his previous CD White Sulphur Springs will not be disappointed with this excellent new work.
